Data Deletion

Last updated: August 1, 2026

You can delete your SproutLog account and all associated data at any time, directly from the app.

How to delete your account in-app

  • Open SproutLog and go to Profile → Settings.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  • Confirm the deletion. If it's been a while since you last signed in, you may be asked to sign in again first — this is a Firebase security requirement for sensitive account actions, not an extra step we added.

This permanently deletes:

  • Your account and sign-in credentials;
  • All gardens, plants, care history, and journal entries synced to the cloud;
  • All photos uploaded to cloud storage;
  • Any scheduled notifications tied to your account.

Data stored only locally on a device (never synced, e.g. if you used SproutLog as a guest) is removed by uninstalling the app from that device.

No longer have access to the app?

If you can't sign in to request deletion yourself — lost device, uninstalled app, etc. — email support@sproutlog.reniuslab.com from the email address associated with your account, and we'll delete your account and data manually. We may ask a couple of questions to confirm you're the account owner before proceeding.

What we keep

We don't retain a copy of your garden data, photos, or notes after deletion. We may keep minimal records required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes (e.g. that an account with a given ID existed and was deleted, without its content) for a limited period, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
